Lives and works in Hong Kong
Elaine Chiu explores memories and identities of urban environments through paintings, on-location sketching activities and performances. Elaine studied art history and sociology at the University of Hong Kong from 2014 to 2018, receiving the Talent Development Scholarship (2015) and Out Reaching Award (2016) from the Hong Kong SAR Government. Elaine is selected as Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list, class of 2023 honouree.
Her recent solo exhibitions include “Before Memories Expire” and “The Memory Library” at JPS Gallery in Hong Kong (2021); Recent artist talks include Asia Society's Gok Dou Live at Art Central (2022), Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (New York) (2020), and The University of Hong Kong (2021). Elaine's artworks are in the permanent collections of The University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG), HKU; K11 Art Foundation; Société Générale Hong Kong. International, governmental and commercial project participations include Vivid Sydney (2018), Monaco Film Festival (2019), GeoPark (2019), Hong Kong International Airport (2020) and HKU Heritage Sights and Sites, a Greater Bay Area Project (2022).
趙綺婷,於二零一八年獲得香港大學文學院藝術史系(榮譽)學士學位,於二零二三年入選福布斯亞洲30位30歲以下精英榜。她以畫作及寫生,探討城貌、環境與城市身分的關係。她的畫作渲染出城市的演變,在市區重建下,不斷重置變換的城貌與城市身分,記載多變、脆弱、轉瞬即逝的城市面貌。
趙綺婷近期個人畫展包括《記憶若有限期》、《回憶圖書館》(JPS畫廊, 2021)。近期藝術家分享包括亞洲文化協會的《角度》對談系列(2022)、香港畫廊協會《與藝術家對談》(2021)、香港經貿處駐紐約辦事處 (2020)、香港大學 (2021)等。趙綺婷的作品列入香港大學美術博物館(UMAG) 、K11 Art Foundation、法國興業銀行等的永久收藏。趙綺婷曾參與多項國際政府及商業合作項目,當中包括悉尼光影節(2018),摩納哥電影節(2019),聯合國地質公園(2019),香港國際機場(2020)及香港大學古蹟保育計劃(大灣區)(2020)。
