BIOGRAPHY
Elaine Chiu (b. 1996) explores collective memories, identities and urban narratives through paintings, on-location sketches and performances. She attained a Bachelor's degree of Arts in Art History and Sociology from the University of Hong Kong in 2018, and is completing a Master's degree in International and Public Affairs (MIPA) at her alma mater.
Her works are included in the permanent collections of The University Museum and Art Gallery, The University of Hong Kong (UMAG, HKU); Pucheng Art Museum/ Fan Di’an Museum; K11 Art Foundation; Société Générale and Cathay Pacific. Elaine Chiu was enlisted in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia list (2023) and selected for the 14th National Art Exhibition of China (2024). Her publication “Before Memories Expire: Hong Kong Cityscape Aesthetics and Impressions” was published by Chung Hwa Publishing in 2023.
Elaine currently serves on the Hong Kong Stamp Advisory Committee, the China Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and Executive Committee Member of The Y. Elites Association. Her public roles sit at the intersection of cultural narrative, urban identity, youth policy and cross‑border business collaboration, contributing to Hong Kong’s cultural and urban development within the Greater Bay Area and beyond.
